Hugo Foster, Norse
Norse has one of the largest workforces in Suffolk and its subsidiaries in the county, Waveney Norse, Suffolk Coastal Services and Suffolk Norse, are very much a part of the everyday fabric of the Suffolk communities.
From residential refuse and trade waste collection, grounds maintenance, building cleaning, property maintenance and bus services, these Norse companies touch the daily lives of the residents, businesses and local authorities across the county.
As such, Norse has a strong interest in all the issues that affect not only its companies, but also its present and future potential employees, its customers and its suppliers who live, work and operate in Suffolk.
Norse has always been proactive in working with Suffolk’s wider business community, supporting the area’s supply chain through its buy-local policy, developing the region’s skills market, taking part in discussions and activities that build commercial relationships and promoting the county as a great place to do business.
The group also plays an active role in working with the local business organisations such as the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, of which it is an active Gold Patron, sponsoring workshops and hosting presentations by leading figures from the diverse world of commerce and the broad political spectrum.
“Sponsoring the ‘Showcasing Excellence Award’ category of the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards 2018 helps us to be closely involved in the county’s commercial wellbeing,” says Hugo Foster Norse Group’s Suffolk Operations Director.
“It enables us to use our resources and influence to support, promote and encourage the county’s future commercial infrastructure and success. Playing a part in showcasing Suffolk businesses’ achievements will help ensure the sustainability of profitable economic growth across the county, for the benefit of the whole region.”
