Suzanne MacDonald-Carr, Business Coaching
Business Coaching Mentoring and Training Centre, based at Brightwell Barns, Brightwell, near Ipswich, brings programmes using these different skill sets to the SME business community to support their growth from pre-start up to established businesses with revenues up to £30m.
The expertise of the centre, headed by principal Suzanne MacDonald-Carr, an alumnus of ActionCOACH International, Las Vegas, and the Institute for Independent Business, London, is across all areas of business from strategic to operations from financial operations, customer care, business planning, goal setting for growth and managing time; to marketing and sales, people skills, team building and systemising a business.
Many of the customers and clients that have been coached, mentored or trained over the past few years are award winning; four are in the 2016 Future50 and others have enjoyed winning awards within their industry, within the coaching industry and in the 2016 EADT Business Awards.
CSR is an area which remains voluntary under the Companies Act, 2006 and is covered very broadly in director’s responsibilities to be a corporate citizen.
BCMT Centre’s interest in the legal aspect of human rights and CSR developed when Suzanne was researching law. It was evident that growing awareness of the topic and lack of strategy and operational development was an area that could be developed within the business coaching arena.
Suzanne, originally a leadership and management trainer in her early career with a multinational in the 1980s, has devised a set of workshops and a coaching programme to design and practically implement CSR for SMEs which includes a new publication, which will be available mid-2017.
